Technical Requirements

Hey there! We're excited to have you on our DayOne platform. To make sure everything runs smoothly, here are a few things to note...

Mobile compatibility

Right now, our platform isn't set up for mobile devices - so we recommend using a desktop or laptop to access all our features.

Why not mobile?

We're working on it! But for now, using a desktop or laptop will give you the best experience of our platform.

Supported browsers

To get the best experience, please use one of these browsers:
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
We also suggest you keep your browser updated - it's a good idea for your security, but also to experience optimal performance of any new features on out platform.

Using a Different Browser?

If you are using a different browser, we can't guarantee optimal performance or support - so we recommend switching to one of the supported browsers above for the best experience.

Audio recording equipment

Some of our activities on our platform use audio recording. Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Microphone - Built-in or external
  • Headphones (optional) - To avoid feedback and get clear audio
  • A quiet spot – To get the best sound quality when recording, try to find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed. This helps your voice come through loud and clear without any background noise. It's best to avoid busy or noisy areas if you can.

Having audio issues?

If you’re having trouble with your audio:
  1. Make sure your mic is plugged in and selected as the input device in your settings
  2. Check if your browser has permission to use the mic - you can usually find this setting in your browser’s privacy or site settings
  3. Ensure your mic isn’t muted
  4. Turn off any browser extensions or add-ons that might interfere with your microphone (or ensure they have permission to use your mic if needed)

Anything else to consider?

One of our activities takes place in a lab environment hosted by 'Skillable'. To keep things running smoothly, be sure to check out Skillable's technical requirements here. This will help you avoid any issues while using the lab features.
